Funerali di Stato di Elisabetta II: ecco il programma del 19 Settembre
Lunedì 19 Settembre sarà forse il giorno più triste per il Regno Unito. La Regina Elisabetta II avrà i suoi Funerali di Stato e sarà l'ultima occasione in cui il Popolo potrà salutarla e celebrarla per ciò che è stata in vita. Il programma della giornata è stato già stabilito e diffuso. Ecco cosa accadrà quel giorno.
Innanzitutto è bene specificare che il funerale si svolgerà presso l'Abbazia di Westminster presso la quale si riuniranno, oltre alla Famiglia Reale, Capi di Stato e Governo o rappresentanti di Paesi esteri, politici del passato e del presente, rappresentanti dei Paesi del Commonwealth e una lista di ospiti d'onore, personalità eccezionali e leader nelle loro Comunità, compilata dalla stessa Regina Elisabetta II. Ci saranno anche i Reali di altri Paesi Europei, tra cui Re Filippo VI e la Regina Letizia di Spagna, Re Carlo XVI Gustavo di Svezia, Re Guglielmo Alessandro e la Regina Maxima dei Paesi Bassi, Re Harald V di Norvegia e Re Filippo e la Regina Matilde del Belgio.
Nelle fasi precedenti e posteriori del funerale la Famiglia Reale del Regno Unito avrà dei compiti ben precisi, in alcuni casi ben specificati: alcuni membri della Famiglia Reale tra cui Re Carlo III e il Principe William seguiranno la bara di Elisabetta II mentre uscirà da Westminster Hall. Dopo il funerale all'Abbazia di Westminster, i Reali tra cui Re Carlo III, la Regina Consorte Camilla, William, Kate, Harry, Meghan e la Principessa Sophie seguiranno la bara a piedi fino al Wellington Arch, per poi continuare la processione in auto fino a Windsor.
Il programma dei Funerali di Stato è il seguente:
6.30 : le porte di Westminster Hall saranno chiuse al pubblico.
10.44 : il corteo partirà dal Palazzo di Westminster per recarsi all'Abbazia di Westminster. La carrozza trasporterà la bara della Regina, accompagnata da musicisti della banda dei Royal Marines. Il percorso sarà fiancheggiato da membri della Royal Navy e dei Royal Marines. Membri della Famiglia Reale, tra cui Re Carlo III e il Principe William, seguiranno la carrozza.
10.52 : la bara della Regina arriverà all'Abbazia di Westminster.
11.00 : la cerimonia inizierà e sarà celebrata dal Decano di Westminster David Hoyle. Ci saranno letture e preghiere da parte di leader politici e religiosi, tra cui il nuovo Primo Ministro Liz Truss.
11.55 : ci saranno due minuti di silenzio all'interno dell'Abbazia e in tutto il Paese.
12.00 : il funerale si concluderà con la reveille, l'inno nazionale "God Save the King" e un lamento del suonatore di cornamusa della Regina. La bara farà un'altra processione per le strade di Londra mentre il Big Ben suonerà continuamente.
13.00 : la bara arriverà a Wellington Arch, dove verrà caricata sul carro funebre. La Famiglia Reale partirà per il Castello di Windsor.
15.06 : a Windsor il carro funebre si unirà a una processione che si dirigerà su Albert Road e la Famiglia Reale si unirà al percorso a piedi fino alla St. George's Chapel.
16.00 : il servizio di commiato, condotto dal decano di Windsor, inizierà presso la St. George's Chapel e si concluderà con una benedizione dell'arcivescovo di Canterbury.
19.30 : Elisabetta II ripoerà durante una cerimonia privata nella Cappella di Re Giorgio VI al Castello di Windsor e sarà sepolta con il marito, il Principe Filippo.

ELIZABETH II'S STATE FUNERAL: HERE'S THE PROGRAM OF SEPTEMBER 19
Monday, September 19 will be perhaps the saddest day for the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II will have her State Funeral and it will be the last occasion when the People will be able to greet her and celebrate her for what she has been alive. The program of the day has already been established and spread. Here’s what will happen that day.
First of all it is good to specify that the funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey where will meet, in addition to the Royal Family, Heads of State and Government or representatives of foreign Countries, politicians of the past and the present, Commonwealth representatives and a list of guests of honour, outstanding personalities and leaders in their Communities, compiled by Queen Elizabeth II herself. There will also be Royals from other European Countries, including King Philip VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, King Charles XVI Gustav of Sweden, King William Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, King Harald V of Norway and King Philip and Queen Matilda of Belgium.
In the preceding and subsequent stages of the funeral the Royal Family of the United Kingdom will have specific tasks, in some cases well-specified: some members of the Royal Family including King Charles III and Prince William will follow Elizabeth II’s coffin as she exits Westminster Hall. After the funeral at Westminster Abbey, Royals including King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, William, Kate, Harry, Meghan and Princess Sophie will follow the casket on foot to Wellington Arch, then they continue the procession by car to Windsor.
The program of the State Funeral is the following:
6.30 am : the doors of Westminster Hall will be closed to the public.
10.44 am : the procession will leave from the Palace of Westminster to go to Westminster Abbey. The carriage will carry the Queen’s coffin, accompanied by musicians from the Royal Marines band. The route will be flanked by members of the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines. Members of the Royal Family, including King Charles III and Prince William, will follow the carriage.
10.52 am : the Queen’s coffin will arrive at Westminster Abbey.
11.00 am : the ceremony will begin and will be celebrated by the Dean of Westminster David Hoyle. There will be readings and prayers from political and religious leaders, including the new Prime Minister Liz Truss.
11.55 am : there will be two minutes of silence inside the Abbey and throughout the Country.
12.00 pm: the funeral will end with the reveille, the national anthem "God Save the King" and a lament of the Queen’s piper. The coffin will make another procession through the streets of London while the Big Ben will toll continuously.
1.00 pm: the coffin will arrive at Wellington Arch, where it will be loaded into the hearse. The Royal Family will leave for Windsor Castle.
3.00 pm : in Windsor the hearse will join a procession that will head on Albert Road and the Royal Family will join the walking route to St. George’s Chapel.
4.00 pm : the farewell service, conducted by the Dean of Windsor, will begin at St. George’s Chapel and will end with a blessing from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
7.30 pm : Elizabeth II will rest during a private ceremony in the Chapel of King George VI at Windsor Castle and will be buried with her husband, Prince Philip.
