Londra, Cultura: ecco "Match Point", primo concorso letterario in Lingua Italiana
La creatività va sempre sostenuta ed è quello che vogliono fare "Il Circolo Italian Cultural Association" e la scuola di scrittura "Londra Scrive", con il supporto dell’Italian Bookshop di Londra e il patrocinio del Consolato Generale Italiano di Londra. Così è nato "Match Point", il primo concorso letterario per autrici e autori che scrivono in Lingua Italiana e vivono nel Regno Unito.
La selezione è aperta a racconti inediti, legati a una suggestione sportiva o all’idea dell'essere in bilico, di fronte ad attimi decisivi o a scelte e
sfide cruciali nella vita. Ecco da dove nasce l'idea del nome dell'evento.
I progetti saranno letti da una giuria di prestigio, formata da professionisti del settore letterario ed editoriale: Olga Campofreda (critica letteraria e preparatrice
atletica), Benedetta Cibrario (scrittrice), Isabella D’Amico (esperta di comunicazione in campo letterario), Daniele Derossi (scrittore), Marco Mancassola (scrittore e ideatore di Londra Scrive), Paolo Nelli (scrittore), Caterina Soffici (scrittrice e giornalista).
La Presidente neoeletta de "Il Circolo" Simona Spreafico, ha commentato: "Dopo gli eccezionali risultati sportivi ottenuti dall’Italia nel 2021 ci è sembrato giusto partire da una suggestione sportiva per immaginare un innovativo concorso letterario. Le emozioni sportive, diventano metafora, e l’idea del match point, in particolare, ci è sembrata un notevole spunto letterario: anche nella vita ci troviamo davanti di continuo a momenti in bilico, decisivi, di passaggio, piccoli o grandi che siano. Con Match Point vogliamo dare, a chi scrive in italiano e vive nel Regno Unito, la possibilità di raccontarli e raccontarsi".
Saranno premiati tre racconti, che si aggiudicheranno un’esperienza di editing professionistico curato da "Londra Scrive", e la possibilità di essere pubblicati su "L’Ultimo Uomo" (nota rivista sportiva e culturale) o su "Cattedrale – Osservatorio sul racconto" (rivista specialistica sull'arte del racconto). Per il primo classificato è previsto anche un premio di £ 1000, per il secondo e il terzo un premio di £ 500.

LONDON, CULTURE: HERE'S "MATCH POINT", THE FIRST LITERARY COMPETITION IN ITALIAN
Creativity must always be supported and that is what "Il Circolo Italian Cultural Association" and the writing school "Londra Scrive" want to do, with the support of the Italian Bookshop in London and the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in London. So was born "Match Point", the first literary competition for authors who write in Italian and live in the United Kingdom.
The selection is open to new stories, linked to a sporty suggestion or the idea of being in the balance, in front of decisive moments or choices and
crucial challenges in life. This is where the idea of the name of the event comes from.
The projects will be read by a prestigious jury, made up of professionals in the literary and editorial sector: Olga Campofreda (literary critic and athletics trainer), Benedetta Cibrario (writer), Isabella D'Amico (literary communication expert), Daniele Derossi (writer), Marco Mancassola (writer and creator of "Londra Scrive"), Paolo Nelli (writer), Caterina Soffici (writer and journalist).
The newly elected President of "Il Circolo" Simona Spreafico, commented: "After the exceptional sports results obtained by Italy in 2021 it seemed right to start from a sporting suggestion to imagine an innovative literary competition. Sports emotions become a metaphor, and the idea of match point, in particular, seemed to us a remarkable literary cue: even in life we are constantly faced with moments in balance, decisive, passing, small or large. With "Match Point" we want to give, to those who write in Italian and live in the United Kingdom, the opportunity to tell them and tell themselves".
Three short stories will be awarded and will win a professional editing experience curated by "Londra Scrive" and the opportunity to be published on "L'Ultimo Uomo" (well-known sports and cultural magazine) or on "Cattedrale - Osservatorio sul racconto" (specialist magazine on the art of storytelling). For the first place there is also a prize of £ 1000, for the second and the third a prize of £ 500.
