Regina Elisabetta II: ecco le tappe del feretro
Sono stati rilasciati i dettagli del percorso previsto in questi giorni per il feretro della Regina Elisabetta II.
La bara della Regina lascerà la tenuta di Balmoral, Domenica, oggi, alle ore 10, per essere collocata al Palazzo di Holyroodhouse a Edimburgo (residenza ufficiale del Monarca in Scozia). Il feretro transiterà per Aberdeen, Dundee e Perth prima di giacere nella Sala del Trono del palazzo fino a Lunedì pomeriggio. Il Re e i membri della Famiglia Reale alle 14.35 accompagneranno la bara in processione verso la Cattedrale di St Giles, dove si terrà un servizio. Qui Elisabetta II rimarrà per 24 ore fino a Martedì, consentendo al pubblico di porgerle un saluto.
La bara lascerà la cattedrale alle 14.00 per essere portata a Londra; ad accompagnarla ci sarà la Principessa Anna. La Regina successivamente giacerà presso la Westminster Hall per quattro giorni interi, prima del suo funerale che si svolgerà Lunedì 19 Settembre. Il pubblico potrà renderle omaggio. Precisamente Mercoledì 14 Settembre sarà portata a Westminster Hall da Buckingham Palace durante una lenta processione, accompagnata da una parata militare e da membri della Famiglia. La bara, drappeggiata dal Royal Standard e sormontata dalla Corona, dalla Sfera e dallo Scettro, starà in un catafalco e sarà sorvegliata da delle Guardie Reali. La bara dovrebbe arrivare alle 15 e, una volta posizionata, si terrà un breve servizio, cui prenderanno parte il Re e i membri della Famiglia Reale. Successivamente, solo a quel punto, il pubblico potrà entrare.
I Funerali di Stato infine si svolgeranno presso l'Abbazia di Westminster alle ore 11 di Lunedì 19 Settembre, giornata che è stata dichiarata giorno di festa in tutto il Regno Unito.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II: HERE ARE THE STOPS OF THE COFFIN
Details of the planned route for the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II have been released.
The Queen’s coffin will leave the estate of Balmoral, Sunday, today, at 10 am, to be placed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh (official residence of the Monarch in Scotland). The coffin will pass through Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth before lying in the Throne Room of the palace until Monday afternoon. The King and members of the Royal Family will accompany the coffin in procession to St Giles Cathedral, where a service will be held. Here Elizabeth II will stay for 24 hours until Tuesday, allowing the audience to greet her.
The coffin will leave the Cathedral at 2 pm to be taken to London; Princess Anne will accompany it. The Queen will then lie in Westminster Hall for four full days before her funeral on Monday, 19 September. The public will be able to pay their respects. Precisely on Wednesday, September 14, it will be brought to Westminster Hall from Buckingham Palace during a slow procession, accompanied by a military parade and members of the Family. The coffin, draped by the Royal Standard and surmounted by the Crown, the Orb and the Scepter, will be in a catafalque and will be guarded by soldiers of Royal Household. The coffin should arrive at 3 pm and, once placed, there will be a short service, which will be attended by the King and members of the Royal Family. Then, at that point, the audience can enter.
The State Funeral will finally take place at Westminster Abbey at 11 am on Monday 19 September, a day that has been declared bank holiday throughout the UK.
