Lewis Capaldi Closes BST Hyde Park with Two Record-Breaking Nights
Lewis Capaldi brought American Express presents BST Hyde Park 2026 to an emotional close with the second of his two sold-out headline performances, once again filling the Great Oak Stage with 65,000 fans. The back-to-back concerts marked the biggest headline shows of the Scottish singer-songwriter's career.
Taking to the stage as the sun set over Hyde Park, Capaldi opened with Hollywood, Grace and Heavenly Kind of State of Mind, immediately winning over the audience with his trademark blend of humour and heartfelt sincerity. Throughout the evening, he performed fan favourites including Bruises, Before You Go, Forget Me and Someone You Loved, creating countless singalong moments with the packed crowd.
One of the night's highlights came when Capaldi welcomed Luke Pritchard, frontman of The Kooks, to perform the band's 2006 hit Naive. Introducing the guest, Capaldi described the song as one of his all-time favourites and credited it with inspiring his own musical journey. The duet received one of the loudest ovations of the evening as thousands of fans sang every word.
Before leaving the stage, Capaldi thanked the audience for making his dream a reality and revealed that he plans to spend time working on a new album before returning to perform live again.
The final day of the festival also featured performances by Conan Gray, Alessi Rose, Jacob Alon, Absolutely, Alexandra Savior, Folk Bitch Trio, Murdo Mitchell, Beattie, Sadie Jean, Ber, Mike Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves, and Luke Hart, bringing another diverse day of music to Hyde Park.
