Maroon 5 and All Things Orchestral Showcase the Best of BST Hyde Park
American Express presents BST Hyde Park continued its spectacular summer programme with two unforgettable events, demonstrating the festival's ability to celebrate both global pop superstars and world-class orchestral performances.
Opening the second weekend, American pop-rock giants Maroon 5 headlined the sold-out Great Oak Stage as part of their Love Is Like tour. Frontman Adam Levine, alongside James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton, Jesse Carmichael and Sam Farrar, delivered an energetic set packed with the band's biggest hits, including Animals, One More Night, Sunday Morning, Memories, She Will Be Loved, Girls Like You, Moves Like Jagger, Payphone and Sugar.
Addressing the crowd, Levine reflected on the band's journey from performing to around 40 people at London's Barfly in 2005 to headlining one of the capital's most iconic festivals.
"Our first album came out in 2002, and man when I tell you, it just keeps getting better — all because of you guys. Thank you so much for everything you've given us," he told the audience before closing the night with an emotional encore.
The day's impressive line-up also featured OneRepublic, whose frontman Ryan Tedder thrilled fans with a catalogue spanning nearly two decades, alongside songwriting medleys featuring hits written for artists including Beyoncé, Adele and Leona Lewis. Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre, Only The Poets, Bradley Simpson, Pedro Santos, and Los Angeles duo VOILÀ completed a diverse programme that kept Hyde Park buzzing throughout the afternoon and evening.
Just a day earlier, BST Hyde Park demonstrated a completely different side of its musical identity with the return of All Things Orchestral, now in its fourth year as part of the festival's Open House programme. Hosted once again by Myleene Klass MBE, the evening featured the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Bell, performing a spectacular programme of classical masterpieces and cinematic favourites under the summer sky.
Special guest Alfie Boe captivated the audience with performances of Lensky's Aria, Nessun Dorma, Bring Him Homefrom Les Misérables, and O Sole Mio, while iconic film scores including Jaws and Pirates of the Caribbean brought an added sense of drama to the evening. Praising both the orchestra and the audience, Myleene Klass described the event as "very special indeed," celebrating the unique experience of enjoying classical music outdoors in one of London's most iconic parks.
From chart-topping pop anthems to timeless orchestral classics, BST Hyde Park once again proved why it remains one of the UK's premier summer festivals, offering audiences an extraordinary range of live music experiences in the heart of London.

Il BST Hyde Park continua a confermarsi uno degli appuntamenti musicali più importanti dell'estate britannica, regalando al pubblico due eventi capaci di mettere in mostra tutta la varietà del suo programma: da una parte il pop-rock internazionale dei Maroon 5, dall'altra l'eleganza della grande musica orchestrale con All Things Orchestral.
Ad aprire il secondo weekend del festival è stata la band americana guidata da Adam Levine, protagonista di un concerto sold out sul Great Oak Stage nell'ambito del tour Love Is Like. Insieme a James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton, Jesse Carmichael e Sam Farrar, Levine ha ripercorso oltre vent'anni di carriera con una scaletta ricca di successi come Animals, One More Night, Sunday Morning, Memories, She Will Be Loved, Girls Like You, Moves Like Jagger, Payphone e Sugar.
Durante lo spettacolo, il frontman ha ricordato gli esordi londinesi della band, quando nel 2005 i Maroon 5 si esibirono davanti a poche decine di spettatori al Barfly, ringraziando il pubblico per aver accompagnato il gruppo fino ai palchi dei più grandi festival internazionali.
La giornata ha visto salire sul palco anche OneRepublic, con Ryan Tedder che ha entusiasmato il pubblico alternando i grandi successi della band a un medley di brani scritti per artisti del calibro di Beyoncé, Adele e Leona Lewis. Completavano il cartellone Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre, Only The Poets, Bradley Simpson, Pedro Santos e il duo californiano VOILÀ, protagonisti di un pomeriggio e di una serata all'insegna della musica dal vivo.
Solo ventiquattro ore prima, Hyde Park aveva cambiato completamente atmosfera con il ritorno di All Things Orchestral, giunto alla sua quarta edizione all'interno del programma Open House del festival. Condotta ancora una volta da Myleene Klass, la serata ha visto protagonista la Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, diretta da Stephen Bell, in un viaggio tra grandi capolavori della musica classica e celebri colonne sonore cinematografiche.
Ospite speciale della serata è stato il tenore Alfie Boe, che ha emozionato il pubblico con interpretazioni di Lensky's Aria, Nessun Dorma, Bring Him Home dal musical Les Misérables e O Sole Mio. Non sono mancati i grandi temi del cinema, da Lo Squalo a Pirati dei Caraibi, che hanno trasformato Hyde Park in un suggestivo teatro all'aperto. Al termine del concerto, Myleene Klass ha definito l'evento "davvero speciale", sottolineando l'unicità di poter vivere la musica classica all'aperto nel cuore di Londra.
Dal pop da classifica ai grandi classici della musica sinfonica, il BST Hyde Park conferma ancora una volta la propria capacità di offrire esperienze musicali di altissimo livello, consolidando il suo ruolo tra i festival estivi più prestigiosi del Regno Unito.
