Scritto da Mirko Ricci il . Pubblicato in Notizie.

Molino Dallagiovanna officially announces the opening of applications for Pizza Bit Competition UK, the first British edition of the international competition dedicated to pizza professionals. Following its success in Italy, where the format has become a benchmark event for the industry with more than 2,000 pizzaioli taking part across four editions, the competition is coming to the United Kingdom for the first time with the aim of discovering, promoting and celebrating the country's best pizza talents.

The competition will feature three regional semi-finals and a national final, during which the new Dallagiovanna Pizza Ambassador UK will be selected. The qualifying rounds will take place between September and October 2026 in London, Yorkshire and Brighton, involving some of the most representative names in the British pizza scene.

The initiative is supported by outstanding partners such as Salvo 1968 and TheFork and has been created to offer pizza professionals a unique opportunity for growth, visibility and professional development. Pizza Bit Competition is much more than a contest: it is a journey dedicated to promoting pizza culture, innovation and professional excellence.

Created by Molino Dallagiovanna, the competition aims to identify the country's most talented and skilled pizza professionals, offering them the opportunity to showcase their abilities before a jury made up of industry experts, hospitality professionals and representatives of partner companies. Contestants will be assessed not only on their technical skills, but also on their creativity, understanding of ingredients and their ability to communicate their own vision of pizza.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS

Pizzaioli interested in taking part can apply through the official competition website by completing a questionnaire featuring both technical and personal questions covering dough preparation, flour knowledge, fermentation processes and the specific skills required in the professional pizza industry.

At the end of the application phase, an internal selection panel will choose 27 competitors and 9 reserve candidates who will advance to the regional semi-finals, divided into 9 competitors and 3 reserves for each regional stage.

During each event, participants will prepare and present their pizza live, showcasing their technical expertise, creativity and communication skills. Each pizza will be evaluated by a technical jury based on dough quality, flavour, baking, presentation and overall interpretation of the product.

The top competitors from each semi-final will progress to the Grand Final, where they will compete for the title of Dallagiovanna Pizza Ambassador UK, becoming the official pizza ambassador of the company in the United Kingdom and internationally.

THE PIZZA BIT COMPETITION UK TOUR

The competition will travel across the country through three major events hosted by some of the most respected names in the British pizza industry.

The first semi-final will take place on 8 September 2026 at Pizza Nerds in Peckham, South London, led by Davide Parato, Molino Dallagiovanna's Ambassador for England.

The second stage is scheduled for 29 September 2026 at Pizza Solutions in Escrick, North Yorkshire, one of the UK's leading centres for professional pizza training and technology.

The third semi-final will take place on 20 October 2026 at Fatto a Mano, the renowned Neapolitan pizzeria in the heart of Brighton, recognised for the quality and authenticity of its pizzas.

The Grand Final, which will crown the new face of Molino Dallagiovanna, will take place on 18 November 2026 at the company's stand during the European Pizza Show in London.

AN INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARK COMPETITION

Pizza Bit Competition is the international contest created by Molino Dallagiovanna to discover and promote the best professional pizzaioli. Structured in several stages, the competition travels across the country, bringing together professionals united by a shared pursuit of excellence.

More than a simple competition, Pizza Bit offers a unique opportunity for professional growth, allowing participants to challenge themselves alongside some of the industry's leading professionals and become part of an international community that sees pizza as an expression of culture, passion and innovation.

In Italy, the competition has already reached its fourth edition and has involved more than 2,000 professional pizzaioli. Building on this success, the format is now launching in the United Kingdom, a market that has experienced remarkable growth in quality and an increasing appreciation for high-level artisanal pizza over recent years.
